DAB Digital Radio

DAB advantages

As you will of just read, DAB gives you a greater choice of stations, which means you should have no trouble in finding a station that suits your music tastes perfectly.

How does DAB work?

DAB Radio has simply utilised technological formats which allow you to convert analogue music or speech signal in to a digital format. this is then transmitted to your DAB Radio, with the bonus, that it is much less likely to to be effected by things, such as, adverse weather conditions, giving you fantastic reception of your favourite shows. This differs from the more traditional FM signal which can suffer from interference by the signal bouncing off buildings etc. Digital Radio is able to filter out such problems.

The EPG (Electronic Programme Guide)

The EPG allows you to tune to the station you are searching for by viewing the stations name, on the small LCD screen, rather than forcing you to search for the best frequency reception. Through this service you will also be able to see information about the show you’re listening to; not to mention telling you the song which is playing, meaning no more ‘Iike this song, but who is it?’ questions.

Depending on which DAB Radio you choose, you may also be able to see, up to 7 days worth of scheduling for certain shows.
